For that, I owe a huge “thank you” to the Newswav team and the vibrant creator community that has made this platform truly special.
As a newcomer in the world of writing, I never imagined that my work would receive such recognition. Writing, for me, began as a personal journey of exploration: a way to share ideas, concerns, and stories. Yet, to my surprise, I walked away with three awards that night:

Holding these awards in my hands, I felt a rush of gratitude. It was not just about winning, but about being acknowledged for the effort, passion, and countless hours put into each piece. These awards are proof that words matter - that they can touch lives, raise awareness, and even nudge change.
Dreams are realized when perseverance prevails, and my writing journey stands as an unforgettable milestone, marked by winning these awards.
To my fellow newbies, let this be a reminder: don’t give up. Every article you write, no matter how small, is a step forward. Write for yourself, for growth, for the quiet satisfaction of expression. Over time, your audience will grow. And when it does, the sense of achievement is beyond measure - not only in building a readership but also in gaining the bonus of monetisation along the way.
My writing has always carried one hope: to encourage awareness, especially in how policies shape our nation. If even a single article sparks reflection or catches the attention of policymakers, I consider it a success. That is the true reward of writing - not just personal recognition but contributing to a well-informed society.
What impressed me most at the awards night was learning how much work goes on behind the scenes at Newswav. From creator support to innovative programmes, the dedication of the team is remarkable.
