BEAUFORT: The Pertubuhan Rumpun Etnik Sabah (Presbah) asked the Government, specifically the teacher placement department of the Education Ministry, to immediately stop the practice of giving placements for teachers either by force or making it difficult for them to work.
Its President Yahya Ahmad said the era of simplifying the way and making the task of teaching not difficult in terms of placement should be given priority now according to the wisdom reflected in the Madani Malaysia.
He said many of the teachers were unable to move due to the lack of replacement teachers, which caused mental stress, and some to the point of divorce.
“I look at the placements of the newly released teachers which need to be reviewed because there is still a lack of understanding of the local needs.
