Kota Kinabalu: The United Sabah Chinese Communities Association of Kota Kinabalu (USCCAKK) pledged to work closely with the Confucius Institute at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) to promote Chinese education and preserve Chinese cultures in Sabah.

The institute commended USCCAKK’s outstanding efforts and achievements in preserving and promoting Chinese cultures in Sabah, and looks forward to deepening the collaboration between both parties in expanding its Mandarin courses and cultural exchanges within the local community.

The USCCAKK committee, led by its President Datuk Susan Wong Siew Guen, visited the Confucius Institute recently, where they were briefed by the institute’s directors, Professor Dr Low Kok On (Malaysia) and Associate Professor Deng Rong (China), on the functions, mission, courses and future developments of the Confucius Institute.
