PETALING JAYA: Nine individuals, including three women, were charged in the Sessions Court here today with being members of an organised crime group known as “Geng Yunaa”.

The six men are Mohamed Amirul Mohamed Razali, Mohd Amirul Naim, Mohd Asbie Syaifullah Abdullah, Mohammad Joshua Salman, Lai Kok Hoe, Tham Yong Zhi and Seah Joon Keat, while the three women are Nuraslinda Natasha Hanafi, Nur Suhada Benjamin Abdullah and Aiman Muna Mohamed Razali.

The nine accused, aged between 18 and 43, nodded in understanding after the charges were read out to them individually before Judge Dr Syahliza Warnoh.

However, no pleas were recorded as cases involving organised crime fall under the jurisdiction of the High Court.

According to the charge, the nine were accused of being members of “Geng Yunaa” at Centrestage, Petaling Jaya, between January 2025 and Sept 25, 2026.

The charge, framed under Section 130V(1) of the Penal Code, carries a prison sentence of between five and 20 years upon conviction.

Deputy public prosecutor Lina Hanini Ismail did not offer bail as the offence is non-bailable.

The court fixed Dec 7 for the next mention of the case.

During the proceedings, lawyer Khailash Sharma represented Seah, while lawyer Kelvin Francis appeared for Tham and Lai. The other accused were unrepresented.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk M. Kumar reportedly said yesterday that police had crippled “Geng Yunaa”, which is believed to be linked to 17 cases involving child prostitution and the trafficking of children for sexual exploitation, during Op Angel, conducted in the Klang Valley from Sept 24 to 26.
