MOH van carrying 11 crashes on way to practical training in Ipoh
IPOH: Nine people were injured after a Health Ministry (MOH) van carrying 11 people was involved in an accident along Jalan Sultan Iskandar, near the Little India area, in Ipoh this morning.
Most of those travelling in the van were trainee nurses from the Health Ministry’s Sultan Azlan Shah Training Institute in Tanjung Rambutan.
Ipoh district police chief Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Najib Hamzah said the accident occurred at about 7.25am.
He said the vehicle was carrying 11 people, including the driver, when the incident occurred.
“All of them were travelling from the institute to Buntong Health Clinic for practical training,” he said.
Najib said police were investigating the circumstances and cause of the accident.
