It’s been three weeks since the Nintendo Switch 2 launched, and stock is almost entirely gone across the UK. Right now we’re seeing stock of some bundles available at Very – though you’ll have to act fast to secure one.
After lengthy drops last week from Argos, Currys, Game and Smyths Toys, retailers across the UK have mostly sold out of the Switch 2. That said, you can still get your hands on the console if you know where to look. Consoles are coming in and out of stock at Amazon, and EE is still offering the console with Mario Kart World to existing customers. Independent games retailer also has consoles available with delivery by the end of next month.
If you’re still trying to track one down, I’m updating this page with the latest Nintendo Switch 2 stock news and drop info as it happens. Keep checking back for updates.
Nintendo Switch 2 specs

The Switch 2 might look familiar, but there’s a lot going on underneath. It’s powered by a new custom Nvidia chip, so games don’t just load faster, they look better and run more smoothly. You get 12GB of RAM (up from 4GB on the original Switch), and most of that goes straight into powering games, not just background stuff.
The screen is still LCD, not OLED, but it’s bigger at 7.9in and has 1080p resolution. It supports HDR and a 120Hz refresh rate. Colours pop more, and motion looks buttery-smooth in handheld mode. There’s also DLSS upscaling built in, so older games look better. Sadly, while it supports variable refresh rates, it doesn’t work when docked – just in handheld mode.
Nintendo Switch 2 price

The Nintendo Switch 2 on its own costs £399.99, and the main bundle with Mario Kart World costs £429.99. Buying the bundle saves you £40 compared to picking up the game separately, so it’s better value if you’re planning to grab it anyway.
No big discounts yet – it hasn’t even been out a month, after all – but some retailers have larger, more expensive bundles. These include the new Switch 2 camera (£49, Amazon.co.uk), the Pro controller (£74.99, Very.co.uk) and the official carry case and screen protector (£20.99, Amazon.co.uk), as well as extra games and accessories.
Nintendo Switch 2 launch games
There are plenty of new Nintendo Switch 2 games at launch. Mario Kart World is the big one, but you’ve also got upgraded versions of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, plus mammoth games like Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition that really test the console’s muscle.
Other launch day games include Hades 2, Split Fiction, Sonic X Shadow Generations, Street Fighter 6, Survival Kids and Suikoden I & II HD Remaster. You’ve also got Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, and Deltarune Chapters 1–4, plus more niche picks like Fantasy Life i and Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD. Civilization VII and No Man’s Sky are here too, and Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour acts as a mini showcase for the new hardware.
On top of that, loads of older Nintendo titles have been patched with free performance updates, and Wind Waker, F-Zero GX and Soul Calibur II are now available through the new Switch Online GameCube library.

Ebuyer sells out

You can no longer backorder on Ebuyer, either. For now, it looks like the only place you can buy a Nintendo Switch online is through EE.
ShopTo backorders sold out
13:15
,
Alex Lee
Bad news, I’m afraid. ShopTo has been a reliable place to backorder the Switch 2 for weeks, but even their backorders have stopped.
If you aren’t up for maniacally refreshing an Amazon tab or signing up to EE just for the sake of a Switch console, a backorder at Ebuyer is now your best option.
Try Amazon in an incognito window
10:52
,
Alex Lee
Every so often the Switch 2 reappears on Amazon – I assume because someone has cancelled an order.
It’s worth keeping a window open in Amazon, but you might want to clear your cache or use a private browsing window. I’ve found that if you keep the window open too long in a regular browser, site cookies stop you from seeing the stock as it appears.
Who else might drop stock?
10:23
,
Alex Lee
I said yesterday that Argos might drop stock today, and I still think it’s fairly likely, as the retailer has restocked the console every Friday since its launch.
It’s unlikely, but I wouldn’t be too surprised if EE restocked some of its other bundles. The company still has its £30 per month bundle listed on the site, and that includes two Joy Con 2 controllers, a Switch 2 camera, and £50 EE game card.
No changes overnight
09:05
,
Alex Lee
Morning all. There have been no changes overnight, and no new Argos stock. If you want a Switch 2, you’re probably best to wait until more stock arrives in the country next month.
If you still want to buy a Switch 2 right now, the best option is EE – it will arrive in 1-3 days. The catch is that you have to be an EE customer.
Switch 2 consoles are also available on backorder at ShopTo or Ebuyer, but bear in mind that these won’t arrive until next month.
Will Argos restock the Switch 2 tomorrow?
Thursday 26 June 2025 15:21
,
Alex Lee
There’s a chance. Argos has restocked the Nintendo Switch 2 every Friday since the console launched three weeks ago.
But it’s not guaranteed. As evidenced so far, this week is a bit of a weird one, and we’ve only seen Nintendo restock the console. I wouldn’t be surprised if the retailer didn’t drop more consoles tomorrow. If it does, Argos should go live at 8am.
Ebuyer has Nintendo Switch 2 consoles available to pre-order
Thursday 26 June 2025 12:00
,
Alex Lee
This one’s even further awway, but it’s an option. Independent games retailer Ebuyer is taking pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle,
Stock is expected to arrive on Wednesday 30 July, and orders will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis.
ShopTo has Nintendo Switch 2 stock available on back-order
Thursday 26 June 2025 11:01
,
Alex Lee
If you don’t mind waiting for a console, ShopTo has back-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle, with dispatch expected from Thursday 17 July.
Buying through ShopTo will guarantee you a console, even if you have to wait a while. It also saves you the effort of refreshing pages over and over.
EE has had Nintendo Switch 2 stock since it launched
Thursday 26 June 2025 10:31
,
Alex Lee
It’s been three weeks, and EE still has the Nintendo Switch 2 in stock for existing customers.
For £22 a month (plus £20 up-front) over 24 months, you get the Nintendo Switch 2 console, a digital copy of Mario Kart World, a full year of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, and two years of EE’s Gamer’s and Video Data Passes, meaning you can play and stream without touching your mobile data.
The catch, as always, is that you need to be an existing EE customer. If you are, your console will arrive within 1-3 working days.
Why don't any retailers have the console this week?
Thursday 26 June 2025 10:01
,
Alex Lee
This is all speculation, but it looks like the next shipment of Nintendo Switch 2 stock isn’t due until next month.
Smyths Toys has updated its stock tracker to say it expects more consoles in July. Up until now, the retailer’s tracker usually listed a specific date range for incoming deliveries. This is the first time it’s switched to a vague monthly estimate.
Most UK retailers share the same supply chain for the Switch 2, which means they tend to receive stock at the same time. It also speaks volumes that it’s only Nintendo itself who has had stock.
That’s why I don’t think we’ll see any more restocks this week, or any of substance, at least.
Amazon is only dropping one or two consoles at a time, this is what I think is happening
Thursday 26 June 2025 09:30
,
Alex Lee
Amazon keeps drip-feeding one or two consoles into the system at a time. If you refresh either listing for the bundle or console, you might get lucky.
What I think is happening is that Amazon is simply re-releasing cancelled orders, which is why it only has one or two in stock at a time. Refreshing the page and clicking “Buy now” as soon as it comes back in stock is probably your best option.
Thursday 26 June 2025 09:05
,
Alex Lee
Morning all! It’s been a terrible week for restocks, which is something I predicted a couple days ago.
Right now, existing customers at EE have it best, as it’s pretty much the only place where you can get a Nintendo Switch 2 right now.
Nintendo Switch 2 is coming in and out of stock at Amazon
Wednesday 25 June 2025 16:21
,
Alex Lee
Amazon is still releasing Mario Kart World bundles in drips and drabs. It pays to heep refreshing the page throughout the day. I’ve just seen more consoles go live this afternoon.
Very might be about to drop more Nintendo Switch 2 consoles
Wednesday 25 June 2025 15:57
,
Alex Lee
If you’re not willing to spend north of £500 for a Nintendo Switch 2 bundle from The Game Collection, then you might want to add Very to your wish list.
The retailer has recently listed a Mario Kart World bundle with a microSD Express card for £479 to its site. It’s not live yet, but it’s just been added. That might mean Very is gearing up to set it live imminently.
Nintendo out of stock
Wednesday 25 June 2025 11:35
,
Alex Lee
Nintendo has run out of stock, too. If you want a Switch ASAP, your best option is The Game Collection, but it’s expensive.
It’s a decent bundle - you get a Switch 2, Mario Kart World, Cyberpunk 2077, a Micro SD Card, the Switch 2 camera and a premium travel kit.
However, it costs more than £600.
Stock wavering but strong at Nintendo
Wednesday 25 June 2025 10:13
,
Alex Lee
Good morning. After a quiet few days, we’ve seen a lot of retailers run out of stock. There are few options, but right now your best bet for a console in the next few days is Nintendo. There is stock of both the standalone console and the bundle with Mario Kart World.

For any US readers out there – Walmart is about to restock the Nintendo Switch 2 later tonight.

It’s been a while since we last saw John Lewis restock the console, but the high street stalwart has just restocked the Nintendo Switch 2 bundle with Mario Kart World.
Nintendo Switch 2 restocks could start to slow this week
Tuesday 24 June 2025 11:30
,
Alex Lee
It might be a disastrously quiet end to June for Nintendo Switch 2 restocks, if Smyths Toys is anything to go by.
The retailer is now listing July as the next expected delivery window, and that’s often a sign that other shops won’t get more stock until then either.
Most UK retailers receive Switch 2 units in batches from Nintendo’s distributors. These shipments tend to arrive around the same time, which is why we often see big drops by multiple retailers at the same time, followed by quiet spells.
Last week’s restock from Amazon, Argos, Currys, Game and Smyths Toys looks like it may have been the final big restock for June.
This is all speculation, of course. I’ll never say never, but it doesn’t bode well.
Nintendo still has Switch 2 stock

,
Alex Lee
If you want a Nintendo Switch 2 right now, honestly, the best place is the My Nintendo Store.
You don’t need to have an active Switch Online account anymore, and it’ll arrive within 1-2 days. While Nintendo’s sold out of the bundle, you’ve still got the standalone console in stock.
The Game Collection has one Nintendo Switch 2 bundle in stock
Tuesday 24 June 2025 10:03
,
Alex Lee
The Game Collection has just restocked one Nintendo Switch 2 bundle, and it’s a big one.
it costs £609.95, the bundle includes the Mario Kart World bundle, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, a 256GB Micro SD Express card, a Switch 2 camera and a Stealth premium travel kit.
While it’s not cheap, it comes with one of the best Switch 2 games we’ve tested, and also has one of our favorite Switch 2 cases included. It will arrive within 1-2 working days.
Keep checking Amazon – you might get lucky
Tuesday 24 June 2025 09:38

Just a reminder to keep checking the Amazon links above. I just refreshed the console listing and it says that there are three in stock and it’ll be delivered tomorrow.
I’m not seeing the bundle in stock, however, but it’s been coming in and out.

Where can you buy a Nintendo Switch 2 right now?
Monday 23 June 2025 15:11
,
Alex Lee
It’s been a very slow day for Nintendo Switch 2 restocks.
Right now, the only places where you can get a console is at EE – but you have to be an existing customer, ShopTo – but you have to wait ages, and Ebuyer, but you have to wait even longer.
A handful of bundles are in stock at Game
Monday 23 June 2025 12:46

Alex Lee
Game has just restocked a handful of Nintendo Switch 2 bundles with Mario Kart World. The site says there are less than 10 available, so you’ll have to be quick. You can get next-day delivery if you pay for it.
Amazon Nintendo Switch 2 stock keeps coming and going
Monday 23 June 2025 10:40
,
Alex Lee
And it’s gone. The bundle keeps coming in and out of stock, so I’d recommend refreshing the listing page. There’s a good chance more Mario Kart World bundles will reappear throughout the day.
If you aren’t an EE customer, refreshing Amazon is your best option right now.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is back in stock at Amazon, but there's a catch
Monday 23 June 2025 10:29
,
Alex Lee
The Mario Kart World bundle is back in stock at Amazon, but there’s no big Add to basket button on the listing.
You have to click the “See All Buying Options” button to reveal Amazon’s listing. Click it and you’ll be able to check out. If you order it today, it’ll arrive on Sunday.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is in stock at EE
Monday 23 June 2025 09:56
,
Alex Lee
Right now, EE customers have it best. The Nintendo Switch 2 with Mario Kart World and a 24-month Nintendo Switch Online membership is currently in stock.
It costs £30 per month over 24 months, with a £20 up-front charge. It arrives in 1-3 working days – so you won’t have to wait long. The only bad thing is you need to be an existing EE customer. If you’re with Vodafone, Three, O2 or anyone else, you’re out of luck.

Lots of Nintendo Switch 2 stick around right now
Friday 20 June 2025 16:33
,
Alex Lee
Still plenty of Nintendo Switch 2 consoles floating around at Argos. Currys now says that they’ve all sold out but I’m dubious – most likely is that they’re only selling the bundles and consoles in-store, so it’s worth popping in.
IF not, there’s lots of consoles still in stock at Amazon.
Argos has loads of Nintendo Switch 2 consoles in stock
Friday 20 June 2025 11:24
,
Alex Lee
Argos still has loads of consoles and bundles available – I reckon this one could last a while.
Demand for the console was higher last week, and even then, it was still in stock for the entire day. Could we see consoles remain in stock for the entire weekend? Here’s hoping!
