Kota Kinabalu: A 22-year-old man had a lucky escape after his Nissan Navara crashed into a fallen tree along Jalan Kolam on Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 11pm when he was driving towards the Hilltop area from the city centre.

With the streetlights not functioning, the stretch was dark, resulting in poor visibility.
