P Koushik Reddy, a BTech student from Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the 2026 graduating batch at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra, has secured a placement offer with a CTC of Rs 1.56 crore per annum.
According to the institute’s PRO, the previous highest package secured by a student of NIT Kurukshetra was Rs 1.5 crore per annum. By receiving an offer of Rs 1.56 crore, Koushik Reddy has set a new placement record for the institute.
The institute had been making headlines in recent months for negative reasons, including the withdrawal of the financial and administrative powers of then director BV Ramana Reddy and the tragic deaths of four students by suicide within a span of two months.
Meanwhile, Reddy’s achievement has served as an inspiration to fellow students.
