Kota Kinabalu: IDEAS Playground 2026, which aims to bridge the gap between education, industry and real-world opportunities, has received full support from State Youth Development, Sports Advancement and Creative Industries Minister Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar TitinganOrganising Chairperson Precilla Fong said Nizam recognised the importance of creating educational opportunities, particularly for students in rural communities.
“Nizam has always been a strong supporter of educational initiatives, particularly those that create opportunities for students in rural communities.
“When we shared our vision for IDEAS Playground 2026, he immediately connected with the concept and recognised the importance of bridging the gap between education, industry and real-world opportunities for our young generation.
“We are thankful to Nizam for agreeing to render monetary contribution for the programme at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) on Nov 7 and 8,” she said, adding that the two-day IDEAS Playground 2026 is jointly organised by OOZE and Daily Express.
Precilla said the encouraging response reflected the importance of ensuring that children, regardless of their backgrounds, will have the opportunity to discover their interests and aspirations.
“What was especially encouraging was how quickly he (Nizam) understood what we are trying to achieve — giving every child, regardless of their background, the opportunity to explore, discover and imagine what they can become,” she said.
“With leaders who believe in investing in our younger generation, we are one step closer to making this vision a reality,” she said.
