KPKM will not compromise on management weaknesses or non-compliance, with Mohamad Sabu stressing governance, integrity and accountability
PUTRAJAYA: The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM) will not compromise on any management weaknesses or non-compliance that could affect public interest within its agencies and subsidiaries.
Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu said the ministry will continue to strengthen oversight of governance, integrity and financial management across all its agencies and subsidiaries.
“I want every organisation under KPKM to be managed transparently, with integrity, and in full compliance with the rules and procedures set out.
“Any weakness in management, non-compliance or matter that could affect public interest must be identified and acted upon accordingly,” he said in a statement here today.
Mohamad said agencies and subsidiaries must also ensure that every decision, procurement and use of public funds is carried out responsibly and accountably.
He stressed that the people’s trust must be safeguarded and every ringgit of public money must be managed well.
