No crocs detected in Likas Bay as claimed, but patrol ongoing, says Wildlife

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Wildlife Department Director Augustine Tuuga said they have not detected any crocodile in the water of Teluk Likas, following a viral video shared on Facebook at 12.25pm, Wednesday.

He said they have sent a drone to investigate the matter.

“We went to check yesterday afternoon. This morning, we flew a drone as well but did not find anything,” he said to Daily Express.

“We cannot confirm anything until we have more concrete evidence.

In the video, five-to-six dark-coloured, long-shaped objects are seen floating in the water.

The location is evidenced by the visible Menara Kinabalu and Menara Tun Mustapha along the coastline captured in the video.
