No “happy endings” are allowed in Kedah, and we mean when you’re visiting the massage and reflexology centers in the state.
Kedah Menteri Besar, Dato Seri Mohd Sanusi Md. Nor warns reflexology business operators in the state to NOT violate the license agreement by providing extra and illegal services, which he dubbed immoral. If any operators are found breaching their licensing terms and conditions, the state government will not hesitate to put an end to their businesses by not renewing their licenses.
The decision was made yesterday (21 June) during the state executive meeting and reminds the public that local authorities will continue to monitor the situation.
“We’ve received many complaints regarding ‘other’ activities that have been going on in some massage centers in the state, which are immoral,” Sanusi said.
With the state elections nearing, Sanusi assured the public that the local authorities and the police will continue to monitor the situation, even after the state assembly is dissolved, as reported by Astro Awani.
“We’ll see what we can do under the legal provisions to stop issuing licenses to centers that provide immoral activities.”

Entertainment activities need permits too
In the meantime, Sanusi added that any entertainment activities in the state have to be approved by the local authorities, including those held in universities, according to BERNAMA.
“If we don’t think the activities are appropriate, then we’ll not approve them even if they’re being conducted in universities.”
Sanusi also said that he will meet with the Sultan of Kedah this Sunday (25 June) to seek consent to dissolve the state assembly.
