No injuries reported in Genting Highlands landslide

THERE were no casualties or injuries reported in a landslide in Genting Highlands which occurred about 2.47am today.

Bentong police chief Zaiham Mohd Kahar said the landslide was reported along the road from Ambar Court to Ion Deleman.

The landslide blocked both sides of the road and clearing work was done and completed by 2 pm.

"The road is now accessible to all vehicles," he said, adding that the authorities and the Genting Highlands security team would continue to monitor the area.

In a statement, Resorts World Genting clarified that access to Genting Highlands via the main road, Jalan Genting Highlands, remains unaffected.

The Grand Ion Delemen Hotel also issued a statement on its Facebook page, apologising for the inconvenience caused by the temporary restriction to their property due to the landslide. - January 17, 2025
