A POST-mortem examination is currently being conducted at Hospital Port Dickson (HPD) for two young siblings who tragically drowned after the vehicle they were in slid into the Linggi River near Tanjung Agas on Thursday.
The autopsy, which commenced at approximately 3.00pm today, had yet to draw the presence of any family members as of 4.30pm. The hospital’s forensic unit and mortuary remained quiet, with only members of the press seen on-site.
Earlier this morning, the Port Dickson Magistrates’ Court issued a seven-day remand order, effective until 11 September, for the children's father and a woman linked to the incident.
Preliminary reports indicate that the tragic event unfolded when the car, parked on the riverbank with its engine turned off, began to roll into the river. It is understood that the children’s father had stepped out of the vehicle briefly to smoke a cigarette.
The case continues to be under active investigation. - Sept 5, 2025
