SEPANG: Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil today said that the government has no plan to postpone the implementation of the regulatory framework or the licensing requirement for social media service providers.

He said this at a press conference after attending the meet-and-greet programme with Kampung Kelinsing Orang Asli Community here today.

The regulatory framework or licensing of social media platforms and messaging services introduced on Aug 1 and will come into force from next year, does not involve users of the social media platforms.

The licensing only applies to social media service providers.
