
RANAU: Researchers and animal protectors are crossing their fingers on the existence of the elusive Black Shrew, which is said to have become extinct.
The Black Shrew, or Suncus ater, is a white-toothed shrew only known to have existed on Mount Kinabalu in Sabah on the island of Borneo.
Some also claimed that the animal is native to Mount Kinabalu.
