Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has emphasized that political stability is essential for Malaysia’s continued development. Speaking at an event in Sabah, Anwar highlighted the need for unity among leaders, urging them to shift their focus toward national progress rather than engaging in divisive issues.
PM Anwar Ibrahim stressed that cooperation among political leaders is critical to ensuring the country moves forward. According to Anwar, some leaders still engage in unnecessary disputes, making accusations and arguments over cultural and linguistic differences. He called for a change in attitude, emphasizing that unity is the only way to effectively address the challenges facing the nation.
During his visit to Sabah, Anwar Ibrahim met with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and his team, focusing on pressing issues such as poverty alleviation and infrastructure development. He stated that the discussion prioritized how to hep the poor and improving the conditions of the roads instead of focusing on persinal matters in the discussion. He praised the efforts of the state leadership in tackling these issues and reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to supporting Sabah’s development.
The Prime Minister also held discussions with the Chief Minister, state executive council members, and senior government officials on various projects in Sabah, including the construction of roads, schools, and healthcare facilities. Anwar stressed the urgency of completing these projects swiftly to improve the lives of the people.
Anwar also acknowledged Sabah’s unique cultural and religious diversity, emphasizing that the state's ability to maintain harmony among its people is a valuable strength. He called for this unity to be preserved and reinforced for the benefit of future generations.
With a focus on collaboration and sincere leadership, Anwar reiterated his vision of a stable and prosperous Malaysia, where political differences do not stand in the way of national development.
