SEOUL, Aug 6 — BTS is proving once again that its global fanbase shows no signs of slowing down, with the group’s fifth studio album Arirang crossing 4 billion plays on Spotify.

The milestone makes Arirang the fifth fastest album to reach the figure and the fastest album by an Asian artiste to do so.

The seven-member group now has eight albums that have surpassed the four billion-play mark on the streaming platform.

The ongoing world tour named after the album is expected to further boost the streaming numbers as BTS continues its North American leg.

The group is set to perform in Boston today before heading to four more cities in the US and Toronto.

Meanwhile, Jungkook has also scored a major streaming achievement with his solo hit Seven (feat. Latto).

The song has surpassed 1.3 billion plays on YouTube Music, making it the first debut song by an Asian male artiste to reach the milestone.
