Many Malaysians have since taken the opportunity to express their sadness over the loss, while others try to comfort him as he mourns over the loss of his cat. However, an insensitive comment from a fellow politician, Teresa Kok has gained the attention of many netizens.

According to a screenshot of the comment shared by the Facebook page Meanwhile in Malaysia, Teresa Kok allegedly blamed the co-founder of MUDA for the death of Toby, and she said the cat’s death may be caused due to overeating.

“You should’ve just said RIP”

At the time of writing (March 1), Teresa’s comment on the post is no longer there as it has since been deleted after receiving many criticisms from Malaysians. In the meantime, both Teresa and Syed Saddiq have yet to respond to the statement about Toby’s death, but some netizens on Teresa’s Facebook page have seemed to continue criticizing her for the remark.

Not only that but some netizens on Twitter also expressed their regret to see such a statement from Teresa who should’ve said something comforting to her friend, Saddiq.

A netizen said that Teresa should’ve just said RIP if she did not have anything nice to say about the death of Toby.
