Last week, the world of fine dining and luxury yacht experience in Port Dickson merged in a groundbreaking collaboration to attract more tourists to the beach town.

Nobu Kuala Lumpur and Platinum Charters have joined forces, and the "fusion" draws inspiration from Nobu's iconic menu and is set to redefine chartered yacht celebrations. The fusion offers an unparalleled experience of opulence with a difference.

Since world-famous Japanese chef Nobu opened his first restaurant, Matsuhisa, in Beverly Hills in 1987, he has worked with many wonderful chefs. Now Nobu has 56 restaurants and hotels across five continents serving dishes by chefs who continue to develop their expertise and innovative menus.

Guests enjoyed the exquisite dining experience of Nobu KL onboard one of the many luxurious yachts available at Platinum Charters. About 20 from the media and other VIPs sipped on cocktails, soaked up in the sun under the Port Dickson skies.

Platinum Charters CEO Patrick Theseira welcomed the media to indulge in the finest cuisine that Nobu is world famous for.

“To celebrate our collaboration with Nobu we organised a preview launch to introduce to sail and enjoy the high seas with the finest of fusion Japanese food,” Patrick said as the Lagoon 620 Catamaran sailed out of the Admiral Marina and Leisure Club in Port Dickson.

The media and VIPs were treated to breathtaking views of the Straits of Malacca and indulged in a variety of Nobu-signature dishes, including the famed Black Cod Miso, Yellowtail Jalapeno, Wagyu Truffle Teriyaki, and Strawberry Daifuku.

The food preparation for this event was led by Executive Chef Philip Leong, Head Chef at Nobu KL, and Chef Renante Dominguez, Head Sushi Chef at Nobu Kuala Lumpur. Chef Hervé Courtot, Nobu Corporate Chef, alongside Chef Toshiyuki Shiramizu, Nobu Corporate Sushi Chef, were also present for this exciting Launch Event.

Those who wish to experience the sea cruise and relish the food can pre-book two weeks ahead. We do accept earlier bookings. Call Platinum Charters at 012-900 8200 or email ptheseira@platinumcharters.com.my to book the event.
