At first glance, Move For Gold 2026 may sound like an event made only for runners, athletes and fitness regulars. But the weekend is designed for more than just people who train often.

Happening from 3rd - 5th July at The Hills and Pullman Kuching, Move For Gold 2026 is a fitness, wellness and community fundraising event organised by DefyLAB in support of Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS). Held in conjunction with SCCS’ 25th anniversary, the event invites the public to support the cause in ways that feel meaningful to them.

For those who enjoy movement, there will be plenty to explore, including CrossFit challenges, LaVie Wellness Cold Plunge, STRONG Nation, Pilates, yoga, aqua aerobics, Jiu Jitsu, mobility sessions and more.

For those who prefer a gentler pace, the Fitness & Wellness Festival will also include health talks, nutrition sessions, sound bath, Free Health Screening, chiropractic and posture screening, and wellness activities that do not require anyone to be “fit” before showing up.

Families can come for Mini Jungle Warrior Challenge, Swim to Donate, inflatable Family Pool Games and Busy Goose Market 3.0. Those who want to show support in a more symbolic way can take part in GoBald 2026, donate blood, cheer others on, visit the event, or simply help spread awareness for SCCS.

That is the point of Move For Gold 2026. Support does not have to look the same for everyone. For one person, it may be taking on a challenge. For another, it may be bringing their children for a family activity, attending a wellness talk, buying from local vendors, donating on-ground, or showing up to learn more about SCCS.

Visitors can also support the cause through the RM100 Move For Gold Charity Cash Voucher Booklet, which can be used across participating activities during the event weekend. Purchasers will be eligible for an SCCS tax exemption receipt, with proceeds benefiting SCCS.

Even those who are unable to attend can still show their love through the SCCS website.

Move For Gold 2026 is not asking everyone to be an athlete. It is inviting everyone to take part in their own way.
