Not too far off from the launch of the Phone (2a), Nothing is once again getting ready for new releases, this time in the form of audio wearables.
As a refresher, the Nothing brand debuted its first ever product back in July 2021 with the true wireless Ear (1). It later released the Ear (stick) in late 2022, following up not long after with the Ear (2) in March 2023.
Fast forward to today, all roads seemed to point towards an Ear (3) model. This, however, was dismissed when the brand took to its official X account to announce that they would do away with the numbers system.
Instead, the two new models slated for release on 18th April will simply be called Nothing Ear, and Nothing Ear (a).
Nothing says that by stripping back the numbers, it allows the brand “…to to center the focus around the product and the unique experience it delivers for each user.”
We started Nothing with audio in 2021 and since our very first product, we’ve relentlessly refined our design and engineering with every new addition to our audio product suite.

No official specs have been revealed yet, nor is there any indication of its pricing. If naming conventions are anything to go by, the Ear (a) model will likely be the scaled down variant of the Nothing Ear. Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait until its launch date on 18th April to get the full scope of Nothing’s two new wearables.
