Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper insists they'll embrace the challenge facing Manchester City on Saturday.

Cooper says the fans will also welcome the occasion.

He said, "One word - difficult. He's one of the best number nines in the world and has made a seamless transition to English football, with the way he has played and the goals he has scored.

"There is no point hiding from it - we are up against one of the best strikers in world.

"These are the games we wanted when searched for promotion. We wanted to come up against the best teams and the best players. We wanted to not just test ourselves but to show we can do our best as well.

"So we are looking forward to the game. We're at the City Ground. Whatever team City play they're incredible all over pitch so we'll have to be perfect, but this is what the club longed for."

Asked about beating City, he added: "All we've done since Fulham is what it takes to put a plan together for City. How it'll end up I'm not sure, but am sure we're coming up against an incredible team. We're looking forward to it, embrace the challenge but realistic to know we have to be perfect in our game but why not?"
