Nottingham Forest have an opportunity to buy the land that hosts their City Ground stadium.

While the club does have the rights to the stadium, they do not own the ground it sits on.

Now a source states that the club have been offered the chance to buy the land for around 10 million.

City council leader David Mellen has confirmed to The Athletic that such an option was on the table.

Such a move would be popular among the supporters, who do not want to lose the stadium.

They were chanting 'stand up for the City Ground' and 'Toton's a s***hole, I want to stay here' at a recent home game.
