Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has rejected an offer from Nottingham Forest.
The Athletic says Forest showed interest in De Gea in the final stages of the January window.
The Premier League club offered the goalkeeper a short-term contract, but was quickly turned down.
Forest then opted to sign goalkeeper Matz Sels from Strasbourg on transfer deadline day.
De Gea has lately been linked with Saudis Al Shabab.
