Amadou Diawara is delighted with his move to Roma.

The midfielder arrived from Napoli in a swap for Kostas Manolas.

He said, "I cut my vacation short so that I could return early, get to know my new teammates and Coach.

It will certainly help that I'm coming straight off the African Cup of Nations, as I am in good shape. I think we can have a great season at Roma.

I arrived here very motivated and know that I am at a huge club. Roma's minimum objective this campaign is Champions League qualification and we've got to give our all to make that happen."
