
The Nuh police nabbed two cow smugglers after a brief encounter on the Nuh-Tauru road on Thursday. The police recovered two cattle, two illegal weapons and a pick-up vehicle from the spot. An FIR has been registered at the Sadar Nuh police station.
According to the police, the encounter took place on Thursday morning near a checkpoint in the hilly area on the Nuh-Tauru road. A CIA team from Nuh, led by Inspector Sandeep Mor, intercepted a pickup vehicle allegedly involved in cow smuggling. When the police team signaled them to stop, the driver rammed the vehicle into the barricades. ASI Bhupendra Singh suffered injuries in the collision. The accused driver opened fire on the police team. In retaliatory firing, the accused suffered bullet injuries in their legs following which the police nabbed them.
The accused were identified as Nafees and Mubarik, residents of Ghata Shamshabad village in Nuh district. They were later admitted to a hospital.
