JOHOR BARU, March 20 — The flood situation in Batu Pahat continues to improve as the number of victims at relief centres in the district dropped further as of 8am today.

The State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) informed that the number dropped to 10,396 people at 51 centres from 13,872 at 59 centres last night.

According to JPBN, the relief centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Aman has the most number of evacuees at 552, followed by Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) (SJKC) Li Chun (522) and SJKC Tongkang (478).

Three rivers are still at the warning level, namely Bekok Dam in Sungai Bekok (19.06 metres), Sembrong Dam in Sungai Sembrong (11.17 metres) and Sungai Senggarang in Senggarang (3.30 metres).
