Kai Havertz is expected to make his Arsenal debut in his native Germany this week.
The 65m signing from Chelsea is in Arsenal's squad for their training camp in Germany this week.
Havertz is part of a 30-man squad that will be training at Adidas' headquarters in Herzogenaurach.
Also included are 16-year-olds Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly, who both signed scholarship terms last week.
Havertz is on track to face Nurnberg on Thursday.
The Germany international only joined preseason on Saturday and sat out the day's closed-doors friendly against Watford.
