Kota Kinabalu: The development of Indonesia’s new capital city Nusantara in Kalimantan will have a significant economic impact on the Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and East Asean Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) region, including in income, trade and investment, says a University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) professor.
On income, Prof Dr Rafiq Idris said the GDP has the potential to grow due to an increase in the demand for goods and services, including raw materials.
