Norwich City defender Timm Klose admits he will be out for a significant amount of time.
The centre-back has knee ligament damage, which will keep him out for most of the current season.
He saw a specialist in London this week and went onto social media to give fans the bad news.
"Unfortunately I have to take a break for a few months from doing the thing I love the most," said Klose, on his Instagram account.
"During this time my team mates and the club have my total support.
"Time for me to fix the problem, recover and come back stronger than ever. Thank you for all your messages over the last couple of days. It means a lot."
