Portugal coach Fernando Santos is confident of Andre Gomes returning to action.
The Everton midfielder has had successful surgery after Sunday's horror ankle injury suffered against Tottenham.
There's now a belief Gomes could yet play before the end of the season - news which is backed by Santos.
He said, "The strength of Andr Gomes is great. He will recover and come back as hard as before.
"We are all with him."
