Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid is set to headline a Father’s Day weekend concert, “Daddyokie,” on June 19 and 20 at the Proscenium Theater in Rockwell.
The two-night show will celebrate fathers through music, nostalgia and audience sing-alongs, bringing together families and longtime fans for an evening of familiar hits and memories.
Daddyokie will feature some of Alcasid’s most popular songs from the past decades, reimagined in updated arrangements while retaining the style and musicality that have defined his career.
The concert will also include well-loved radio favorites from the vinyl and cassette era, offering audiences a chance to revisit the soundtrack of their youth.
Billed as a tribute to fathers, the show aims to create a nostalgic atmosphere where concertgoers can relive memories through music while enjoying performances from one of the country’s most enduring entertainers.
In an Instagram, Alcasid invited fans — particularly fellow fathers — to join him for the celebration.
“Daddies, have you been working so hard and punching your card?” he wrote. “The time is near for us to celebrate and live back the music and the memories of our era.”
Alcasid also promised a musical trip through the memorable decades of the ‘80s and ‘90s.
Tickets for Daddyokie are available through TicketWorld.
