OGSE Sabah Golf Networking and Dinner unites industry leaders

Kota Kinabalu: The OGSE 2026 Organising Committee along with the Sabah Oil & Gas Services Council (SOGSC) successfully hosted the OGSE Sabah Golf Networking & Dinner 2026, a landmark industry event that brought together oil and gas services and equipment (OGSE) industry leaders, stakeholders, business partners, and guests for a day of networking, sporting camaraderie, and charitable giving.

Held on June 6, the event commenced with the OGSE Golf Networking Tournament at Sabah Golf & Country Club (SGCC), followed by the highly anticipated dinner and prize presentation ceremony at the Kinabalu Yacht Club (KYC).

The primary objective of the OGSE Sabah Golf Networking & Dinner 2026 was to create a platform for Sabahans involved in the oil, gas, and energy sectors to connect, engage, and build meaningful relationships with industry leaders, stakeholders, and key decision-makers from within Malaysia and abroad.

Industry stakeholders from seven countries took part in this event. The event was designed to encourage greater collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking opportunities between local industry participants and the wider oil, gas and energy ecosystem.

The golf tournament received tremendous support from the industry, attracting 240 participants.

The event provided an excellent environment for participants to strengthen existing relationships, establish new connections, and foster greater collaboration within Sabah’s oil, gas and energy community.

Golfers competed across multiple categories, with prizes awarded from 1st Place to 5th Place for the Men’s A, B, C and D Divisions, as well as the Ladies Division.

The tournament also featured exciting novelty prizes, including four (4) Nearest to the Pin awards, Longest Drive, and Nearest to the Line, adding to the competitive spirit and enjoyment throughout the day.

A major highlight of the tournament was the Hole-in-One challenge, which offered exceptional prizes to participants. Golfers had the opportunity to win a Proton e.MAS 5 electric vehicle (EV) for achieving a Hole-in-One on hole 17, sponsored by Fook Loi.  The remarkable feat of a Hole-in-One was successfully achieved by Zanan Hasnoin, playing as a representative of East Man Resources Sdn Bhd, a Sabahan-owned offshore catering company. Zanan achieved the Hole-in-One on the challenging par 3, 17th hole, measuring 165 metres, with an impressive shot using a hybrid club.  The evening dinner and prize presentation ceremony at the Kinabalu Yacht Club (KYC) was attended by 300 dignitaries and guests, including industry leaders, sponsors, partners, and representatives from the OGSE sector.

The event celebrated the achievements of the day while providing a valuable platform for continued engagement and relationship building among industry stakeholders.

Adding to the significance of the evening, the dinner featured a “Sing for Charity” segment, where guests came together in support of a meaningful cause.

The programme was further elevated by special unscheduled performances from Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun and Malaysian music icon Datuk DJ Dave, creating a memorable evening for all attendees.

Through the generosity and support of participants, sponsors, and guests, the charity initiative successfully raised RM350,000.
