
AFTER increasing steadily for almost a month, fuel prices went down on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026.
Seaoil, PetroGazz, and Unioil cut the per-liter price of diesel by 60 centavos, gasoline by 73 centavos, and kerosene by P2.09.
Shell reduced its gasoline prices by 70 centavos per liter and kerosene by P2.10 per liter.
Last week, the price of diesel increased by P7.30 per liter, gasoline by P6.80 per liter, and kerosene by P4.20 per liter.
Energy Secretary Sharon Garin said the rollbacks are a welcome sign, but added her office will “continue to monitor the situation in the Middle East as things could rapidly change again.”
