
KENINGAU: A man was seriously injured when the oil tanker he was driving skidded and overturned at Kampung Bomboi, here, Tuesday.
District Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 12.12pm and a team of 31 members, including the Zone Officer, Drone Unit and Hazmat Unit led by Operation Commander Sharudy Delimin and Hazmat Commander, Mohd Hannis Moktar rushed to the location with machinery.
Also involved in the operation were officers from the police and company staff.
The head of operations reported that a 32-year-old man was seriously injured and sent to Keningau hospital by members of the public before the arrival of firemen.

Firemen closed the route by installing barriers and carrying out cleanup using sand and a stream of 100 feet of foam spray from the machinery tank.
Oil transfer work was carried out by company staff. After ensuring that there were no other hazards at the location, the operation ended at 11.15pm.
Meanwhile, a store was destroyed in a fire at Kampung Patikang Ulu, here early Wednesday morning.
District Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 5.44am and a total of 10 members led by Operation Commander, Razain Ag Damit rushed to the location with machinery.
No one was hurt in the incident and the operation ended at 6.36am.
