Rayasianboy, also known simply as Ray, has quickly become one of the fastest-growing streamers online.
His rise accelerated after receiving support from Kai Cenat, and now he has built strong connections across entertainment and sports independently.
Last Thursday, the Taiwanese content creator spent much of the broadcast interacting directly with celebrities, including basketball stars.
One particular conversation involving Oklahoma City forward Jaylin Williams immediately drew attention. Ray called the Thunder player shortly before tip-off because he wanted opinions about his braided hairstyle.
Jaylin Williams had a funny reaction to Ray’s call
Ray showed Williams his braids live on Twitch while asking how he would rate the look. The Oklahoma City Thunder forward could not hide his disbelief after answering the unexpected video call.
“I got a playoff game later and you called me to show me some b———?” he responded while laughing during the exchange.
The funny interaction quickly spread across social media as fans praised Williams’ reaction. Beyond the entertainment value, Ray’s call also appeared to bring good fortune before Oklahoma City’s impressive victory over the Lakers.
Williams delivered his second-highest scoring performance this postseason. He recorded seven points in 15 minutes while also contributing one assist and two rebounds off the bench.
Jaylen Brown also spoke with Ray on the livestream
Williams was not the only NBA player contacted by Ray during the livestream. The streamer also reached out to Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown for another honest assessment.
Brown initially appeared unsure about the hairstyle after seeing it on camera. However, the Celtics star eventually changed his opinion during the conversation.
“You know what? It’s kinda growing on me, I f— with it,” he stated.
