TENOM: A cargo train carrying gravel for railway maintenance caught fire at KM133 along the Pangi-Tenom line around 4.14pm on Tuesday.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Shahelmey Yahya, also Sabah Works Minister, confirmed that the locomotive involved was Locomotive 5220, purchased in 1971.
The 54-year-old locomotive was transporting gravel and materials for track repairs when the fire broke out.
