- Olivia Rodrigo made a change to her forthcoming album, You Look Pretty Sad for a Girl in Love, following her split from English actor Louis Partridge.
- She told the BBC that she revisited the lyrics of her new song “What's Wrong With Me”, a collaboration with The Cure's Robert Smith, post break-up, after realising the relationship was the source of her upset.
- Rodrigo also said she tweaked the lyrics to another track, “Purple”, transforming it from a “sweet and saccharine” love song into one that’s “the part of the album where things start to sour and unravel.”
- The album, set for release on 12 June, was described by Rodrigo to the BBC as “a time capsule of a relationship in a few years of my life.”
- Rodrigo and Partridge dated from October 2023 to December last year.
