MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Ombudsman filed on Monday a plunder complaint against former speaker and incumbent Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin Romualdez over his alleged links to anomalous flood control projects.
The Sandiganbayan confirmed the filing of the case against Romualdez.
The complaint stemmed from the Ombudsman’s investigation into alleged irregularities in flood control projects.
The Manila Times has reached out to Romualdez’s camp for comment but he has yet to reply.
