MANILA, Philippines — Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla said on Tuesday that his office may soon file a plunder case against Sen. Joel Villanueva who has been linked to the flood control mess. Villanueva called the allegation "ridiculous."
"Of course, it is not just Senator Jinggoy. We are finishing another one and we can file it really soon, the one against Senator Joel Villanueva. That is another one that is ripe but we need to thoroughly refine how all the information and evidence included are laid out",O mbudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla said in Filipino and English at a press briefing on Tuesday.
Remulla said in the same briefing that his office will file a flood control-related plunder case before the Sandiganbayan against Sen. Jinggoy Estrada.
