(UPDATE) MANILA, Philippines — The offices of the Ombudsman in Mindanao are now on a work-from-home (WFH) arrangement until further notice after a deadly 7.8-magnitude earthquake shook the island on Monday.
Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla placed the offices in Matina, Davao City, and inside the YMCA Building in Cagayan de Oro City under remote work setup to ensure their employees' safety and well-being. The offices are being inspected for structural integrity, Remulla’s office said in a statement.
The statement also said that while clearance releases are suspended, complaints may still be filed through do_mindanao@ombudsman.gov.ph and mincdo@ombudsman.gov.ph.
