Ombudsman seeks precautionary HDO against Romualdez

MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Ombudsman sought a precautionary Hold Departure Order (HDO) from the Sandiganbayan against former speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez.

Based on information from the court's website, the matter was raffled off to its seventh division.

Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano said on Tuesday that the Office of the Ombudsman has not received any decision from the court on the matter yet.

There is no case filed in the Sandiganbayan against Romualdez who is the congressional representative of Leyte's first district.
