KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 10 — Pakatan Harapan candidate for Bentong Young Syefura Othman said she has suffered a miscarriage and was currently resting at home.
The politician also known as Rara had posted on Instagram to say she initially wanted to announce her pregnancy after the 15th general election, with a photograph of her home pregnancy test.
“Today, which is my 33rd birthday, I received sad news that my miscarriage was confirmed,” she said, stating in the post that her pregnancy appeared to have stalled after six weeks.
She then thanked those who have sent her messages of support.
Earlier, fellow Bentong candidate, Tan Sri Liow Tiong Lai, had sent his condolences to Rara ands her husband over the news.
She responded by thanking him and apologising for not being able to meet with him on the campaign trail today, adding that she was currently recuperating at home.
