Have you ever heard of the famous mamak restaurant in KL that goes by the name of Restoran Aliff?
If you don’t know, it’s a mamak that caters to your wants and all your intrusive thought orders such as Coca-Cola tom yam or even nasi lemak cheese. Yes, these were real orders and you can check them out via their Facebook page.
Chinese shopping platform Taobao recently celebrated its 20th birthday and their first stop for their birthday celebration turned out to be Restoran Aliff!
The cute orange mascot went to the mamak and ordered a “birthday cake” which is actually 20 pieces of roti canai stacked together and topped with candles.
Other than that, they also ordered some crispy and sugary roti tissue depicting our world-famous landmark, the twin towers.
According to a post by Taobao, the abangs working there were very accommodative and celebrated Taobao’s birthday with much enthusiasm. They definitely looked the part as they were wearing fun “Happy Birthday” glasses!
The restaurant also reposted the post via a screenshot on their Facebook page with the caption: “One and only Aliff the best.”
