- Seven of the victims remain in a critical condition, with all victims identified as men aged between 17 and 40.
- A 26-year-old Russian-born suspect was arrested around 12 miles away in Ouistreham shortly after the incident.
- Police do not currently believe the incident was terrorism-related, saying that the suspect was previously known only for traffic offences.
- Detectives from the Specialised Crime Division are investigating the incident following reports that a fight broke out prior to the ramming.
