One injured, two unharmed in early morning crash near KKIA

A woman was injured while two others escaped unhurt in a two-vehicle collision involving a Proton Persona and a minibus near the Jalan Kepayan flyover, close to Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA), on Thursday morning.

The Fire and Rescue Department received the distress call at 7.52am and arrived at the scene within five minutes with 14 personnel from the Kota Kinabalu station.

The 28-year-old female driver of the Proton Persona was trapped in her vehicle and successfully extricated by firemen before being handed over to ambulance personnel for hospital treatment.
