A Malaysian doctor recently shared a distressing case involving a 14-year-old girl who was stunned to learn that she was six months pregnant after what she claimed was a single intimate encounter with her boyfriend.
Dr. Amira Shazalyna Razali, who took to Facebook to raise awareness, recounted how the teen visited her clinic with her mother, concerned about missing her period for five months. Sensing something unusual, the doctor conducted an ultrasound, which revealed a well-developed fetus with visible limbs, confirming the pregnancy.
The revelation left both the girl and her mother in shock. The mother, overwhelmed with emotion, questioned her daughter and asked if an abortion was possible. However, since the pregnancy had already progressed to six months, termination was no longer an option.
In a private conversation, the doctor asked the girl whether the encounter was forced, but she admitted that it was consensual. She explained that she and her boyfriend had only been intimate once and never expected pregnancy to result from it.
