CONTINUOUS efforts must be made to strengthen the structure of Malaysia's public service to ensure it remains sustainable, responsive, and aligned with the country’s evolving needs, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister raised the matter while chairing the first 2025 meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Public Service Reform (Jawatankuasa Kabinet Pembaharuan Perkhidmatan Awam – JKK-PPA) earlier today.
“Following the successful implementation of Phase 1 of the Public Service Reform System (SSPA), and through ongoing stakeholder engagement, the meeting discussed a number of new policy initiatives, including proposals to enhance the mobility and portability of civil servants to ensure they are more competitive in the future,” Anwar wrote on his Facebook page today.
"I believe these reforms must be implemented thoroughly and inclusively, prioritising the interests of the people, the welfare of public servants, and the nation’s fiscal capabilities," said Anwar. - April 22, 2025
