ONLY one of the late former Finance Minister Tun Daim Zainuddin's four children, Asnida, turned up at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters today to provide a statement, authorities confirmed.
She arrived at the MACC office at 9.50 am, and as of 1 pm, her statement was still being recorded.
Her three siblings — Md Wira Dani, Muhammed Amir, and Muhammed Amin — have yet to present themselves.
The MACC had previously issued individual notices to all four children following their failure to respond to official correspondence and comply with two formal notices related to asset declarations.
The probe is being conducted under Section 36(1)(b) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009.
“Notices were issued after no response was received, and attempts to contact all four individuals were unsuccessful as of 26 February,” the MACC stated.
It was also reported that the children’s legal representatives had informed authorities that their clients were overseas and experiencing communication difficulties.
The ongoing inquiry highlights the commission’s efforts to ensure compliance with asset declaration regulations among public figures and their immediate families. - April 6, 2026
